Register of 1941-1948 Pontiacs in the Netherlands - Update 10-09-2020

In the Netherlands, according to the RDW, about 31 Pontiacs from the 1940-1948 period. One 1948 model is from 1947 and has the wrong year of manufacture, most likely it was built in Europe, just like one of the 1947 models, which is in reality a 1946 model. One 1948 model is known by the RDW as a 1947 model. There are also some for sale without registration. If you have any additions, please email me! If one of these cars is your car and you do not want to have any personal info mentioned, or if you have a photo of one of the cars below and want to have it posted, you can also email me.
There are of course some that I don't have a picture of, but I do have info. I also heard of a man in Brabant with 2 1947/1948 Pontiacs. One is a Canadian import and one is a Belgian one. Both do not yet have a Dutch registration. I have to check this one out!
DE-41-23 - 1940
We start the list with an outsider in the register, it concerns the only 1940 Pontiac in the Netherlands!
This beautiful 8-cylinder convertible has been in the Netherlands since 1990 and in the possession of Han . since 1999 and Elsa from Zwolle. The car was bought in 1999 from a company in Mill and had already been restored. As with our 48er, this one also had some engine problems, albeit minimal. The car has now covered just under 14,000 miles with them (1999-2017).

TP-83-09 - 1941
This Torpedo came to the Netherlands as a young car, already in March 1956! In 2015 the car was photographed by Wouter Duijndam or Eric van de Velde. Both names are with the photo I found on Flickr. Via Henry Reuvers, who overhauled my hydra-matic, I heard about the existence of this car. it belonged to his family. This family member sold him in March 2016 to Jansma in Wijnjewoude. He got it a few weeks later, on 11-4, sold to the company van Dusschoten in Apeldoorn. 20-7-2016 the car was exported.

This line 8 Streamliner, which arrived in the Netherlands on 7-4-1998 came, has been driving in Hallum since 3-2017 with a man from 1950. He bought the car at AutoControl where it was for sale for € 16,950. It was probably sold on consignment because the last owner had it since 2007. The RDW knows it as a 1947 model. It is probably also a registration from 1947 and perhaps it concerns a Belgian production. The type plate stated 1946.

BX-56-25 - 1947
According to the RDW this is a 1948 model, but it is a 1947 Torpedo 4 door. Used to be Since 13-06-1990 in the possession of Mr. Kleinjan from Ridderkerk, born in 1936. The car probably came to Europe in 1947 in boxes and assembled in Antwerp in 1948, this could explain the year issue. The car was transferred on 31-08-2018 to a woman from 1938 also from Ridderkerk, probably his wife. 04-04-2019 it was transferred again, now in the name of a man from 1945 from Heinenoord.

BE-16-76 - 1947
Imported 7/7/1994 and last named 9/1/2016. It concerns a 6 cylinder that has probably been converted into a show car by the Black Plate Alley company. Unfortunately, Marco Hoogendoorn, the owner of the car and the company, died in October 2015 at the age of 50 from the effects of cancer. After this tragic incident, the car was sold to a man (1968) from Oegstgeest. Unfortunately, little else can be found about the car. Given the company car registration number, the car may have been in this condition for some time.

Mini meets. The convertible was from Thijs Vogels, thanks to its extra engine my Streamliner has been driving for a few years now. The green one is Piet vd Vliet from Benschop and I met at the old-timer day in Vianen. He's had it for a long time. During one of these rides the 48 of Jansma from Wijnjewoude also drove along. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take a picture with him.
