Classics don't just look nice in the garage. We also want to drive and for that he has to be reliable. Sometimes small things are needed and sometimes very big ones. I keep track of what we are doing and have done in the past.
Our cars, then and now, aka our 'money pits'
Before I met Wendy, my wife, in 2005 I had already owned 4 classic Cadillacs and a modern Chrysler. Then many more followed. See here which ones they were. And especially how it came to be.
Folders and advertisements of our cars
Everything I have been able to collect digitally about my cars can be viewed here. Data books, advertisements, brochures of the cars, accessories and price lists.
The History of Cadillac, Pontiac and Ford
Describing the history of Cadillac was very educational and interesting. The history of Pontiac and the Streamliner model was fun and soon Ford and Hudson will follow.
agenda
The agenda normally shows all the meetings and rides that I like myself and also some rockabilly and related events. Unfortunately, there is just as little to do because of corona.
Photos and videos of meetings, rides and concerts
For years we have been going to meetings all over the country and also to Belgium and Germany. Here I have been taking far too many photos for years that I would like to share with you. I also like to film the tapes.
Way Back - History Lessons
USA and Autos, it is inextricably linked. Many have its origins there, such as the drive-ins, moonshining, the parade of progress, residual value experts or whatever. I really enjoy writing about this.
Movies from back then
There are many nice old videos on Youtube. Here you will find a selection. A tour of the Willow Run factory, GM factory videos, explanation about technology, hot rods, and more.
Suppliers and interesting sites
Over the years I have of course come into contact with many companies. I mention them here including a small personal review. I also mention some sites with interesting information such as a forum.
Stuck in a straight line
Just some random stuff. Pictures of us and other nice things worth mentioning.
Registers
I keep a register of the Cadillacs from 1954 to 1956, from the 1940 to 1948 Pontiacs, the Buick Park Avenue, the Ford Full Size models from 1969 to 1972 and the Hudson step down models. You can find part of it here.
